Ho'oilina Print

$75.00

Ho’oilina features the four most endangered Hawaiian Honeycreepers. From left to right, the ‘akeke’e, kiwikiu, ‘akikiki and ʻākohekohe along with their cousin have evolved and lived on the Hawaiian islands for MILLIONS of years and are found no where else in the universe. Out of over 50 species, only 17 Honeycreepers are left and these special 4 are expected to go extinct within the next 10 years.

The original painting of Ho’oilina was the winner of 2024-2025 Hawaii Conservation Stamp Contest awarded by Hawai’i Department of Land and Natural Resources. I made this piece to support Hawai’i forest bird conservation and will be donating 70% of the print’s profits to conservation groups including Friends of Hakalau Forest, Kauai Forest Bird Recovery Project and Maui Forest Bird Recovery Project.

This open edition print is hand signed, 16x20" and will fit in standard frames. High density, archival inks are used on heavy weight, all-cotton, hot pressed paper with no optical brighteners, creating a smooth, very long lasting print. It ships in a sturdy shipping tube, packaged and protected with acid free materials. Please reuse, then recycle the packaging materials after it's arrived.

Thank you so much for supporting Hawaii’s Honeycreepers and my art. I hope you enjoy!

International shipping is set at flat rate of $45 per order with an additional $5 per item for most countries. I understand this is a lot but, depending on the country, I need to be able to ship with UPS for reliability and insurance. If the actual shipping cost is lower (Canada will surely be lower), I will reimburse you the difference and you will receive an automated email notifying you about it. In rare cases, I may need to request additional shipping funds to cover shipping expenses.
