An original oil painting of Hawaii's only endemic owl, the Pueo. The Pueo was my favorite bird as a kid and I would always look out for it in "the jungle," the undeveloped area of my Kaneohe neighborhood at the base of the Ko'olau Mountains.

This majestic species of short-eared owl is endangered and the entire sale (minus shipping costs) of this painting will be donated to the Kauai Forest Bird Recovery Project to aid in its and other forest birds’ conservation.
